The house is only two miles from Todos Santos. The town itself is located on the main highway midway between La Paz and Cabo San Lucas in Baja California Sur. Recently named “Pueblo Magico” by the Mexican Government, Todos Santos is rapidly becoming a center for the arts in Baja. The recently restored Hotel California is a study in art deco. You’ll enjoy local artist galleries, traditional & tourist gift shops, small local groceries, vegetable market, several internet cafes, restaurants – both casual and fine dining including Italian, Sushi, California cuisines and the popular local “Sports Bar” Shut-Up Franks for your happy hour drinks, or burgers and fries. The weather, much of the year, is the same as in San Diego California - less rain in the winter and tropical from July to October. Todos Santos is located exactly on the Tropic of Cancer.
Many mornings you will find artists by the road with their easels painting or sketching the natural beauty. Todos Santos is known for its "special light". Sunsets are spectacular.
A trip on the well maintained highway from Todos Santos to the Cabo San Lucas airport takes approximately 90 minutes and there are daily flights to all parts of the USA. Fly to San Diego in only an hour and 45 minutes!
The BEST surfing beaches in Baja California are located just south of Todos Santos on the highway to Cabo San Lucas at Los Cerritos. Enjoy the uncrowded clean beaches and experience what California was like over 50+ years ago!
If you want a bigger city experience from time to time La Paz is an hour drive north from Todos Santos and provides the shopping and services of a large city. La Paz is also the Ferry terminus for the Mexican mainland.
